Its not the end, its time to reflect

BEMM129 and My Digital Journey

As the module comes to the end, its time to reflect on my learning experience. For an effective and useful reflection, I have used the Gibbs Cycle of Reflection (Gibbs, 1988) which you can see in Figure 1 below.

1. Description

It is important to remember my journey through this module. You can see this journey either on this blog or below in Figure 2 and 3. These figures show my learning journey as well as my contribution to the groups learning by commenting and adding my knowledge, research and views to other people’s work. This allows both me and the rest of the group to see different sides of an arguments as well as expanding our horizons further on certain topic throughout the module.

2. Feelings

Below (Figure 4) you can see my feelings before, during and after the module. It is important to reflect on how I feel at these stages in the module as it correlates with my learning and improvement. The grades and values I have received at each stage closely link to how I felt about the module at various times. Mainly the reflection shows that I am way more confident about blogging and digital economy now than I was before.

3. Evaluation

Evaluating the good and the bad aspects of my experience allow me to take away what’s good and improve on anything that didn’t go so well. My evaluation can be seen in Figure 5 below.

4. Analysis

Overall the analysis shown in Figure 6 demonstrates that my experience was a positive one with an exception of the learning environment provided the module. It was hard for me to change the way I learn in this short period of time and therefore I found it difficult at times to perform at my best. Therefore, it is important to create a plan taking into account the reflection in this post.

5. Conclusion and Action Plan

Overall the analysis shown in Figure 6 and the Action Plan and Conclusion in Figure 7 demonstrate that my experience was a positive one with an exception of the learning environment provided the module. It was hard for me to change the way I learn in this short period of time and therefore I found it difficult at times to perform at my best. A well as this , becausei have never done blogs before it was hard for me to grasp this technical part at first. Due to my hard work and timely prioritisation I was able to perform well in the tasks. In addition, I enjoyed the content which encouraged me to comment and participate in the module. I have learned enough about the digital bussiness enviroment to have a solid foundation for further learning. The skills i have learnt will increase my employability in the digital world.

Therefore, it is important to create a plan taking into account the reflection in this post.
